Welcome to Collins-Maxwell CSD!

The Collins-Maxwell Community School District offers an impressive 91 classes on campus, 45 online courses through DMACC and the University of Iowa Belin-Blank Center (AP) and another 12 at the DMACC Career Hunziker Center in Ames; for a total of 148 offerings for CMHS students. The Collins-Maxwell Community School District offers career and technical programs in the following areas:

Excellence in Student Success

  • Ensure that all students show growth (PK-12th grade)
  • By May 2026, 85% of students in grades K-5th will be proficient in FAST Assessments
  • By May 2026, 82% of students in grades 6th-12th will be proficient in ELA ISASP Assessments
  • By May 2026, 70% of students in grades 6th-12th will be proficient in Math ISASP Assessments

  • Recruit, develop, and maintain an overall high-quality staff
