Meet the Principal
Hello, and welcome! My name is Aliyah Kralik, and I have the privilege of serving as the principal of Collins-Maxwell Elementary School. We are proud to serve approximately 170 students in grades Pre-K through 5.
At Collins-Maxwell, we are building a school culture rooted in respect, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging. I am committed to fostering academic excellence through high-quality instruction and expanding opportunities for student leadership. We want our students not only to succeed in the classroom, but also to grow into confident leaders in their schools and communities.
I truly believe that when schools and families work together, we create a supportive and healthy environment that nurtures lifelong learners and responsible citizens. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive.

Sheila Anderson Hello! I have been the Food Service Director for three years now. I was formerly a Food Service Manager with Madrid CSD for thirteen years. I have driven a school bus for fifteen years and am currently driving for Madrid CSD.
I graduated from Southern Cal High School in Lake City, Iowa. I then went on to get my BA in Business Administration and Sales & Marketing at the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. I lived in Maxwell for twelve years before moving to Madrid. I have 5 kids and 5 grandkids with one due in February. I enjoy walking, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to a wonderful year!

I graduated high school from IKM in 2001. I attended Grand View where I received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Secondary Education with a business endorsement and an Accounting minor. I have taught at Collins-Maxwell since the Fall of 2006 and have coached, been the at-risk teacher for a few years, received my ELL endorsement from Morningside College, and have been involved with/led many different groups in my time here at CM. My husband, Nick, and I have 3 kids, Caleb, Callahan, and Kyler, and a dog, Ruger. We live on an acreage in the district and we love working on our little farm, horse riding, boating, and just spending time with family and friends. Go Spartans!

Heather Meinerts I've been teaching at Collins-Maxwell since 2005. I have taught 4th grade and 5th grade, and I currently teach 1st grade. I've enjoyed working with all of the different levels of students! It is extremely rewarding to see a student's face light up when they learn a new concept, make a connection to something we are learning, or read a difficult word.
I live in Maxwell with my husband, Jerry, who is also a teacher in the district. We have 2 boys, Owen and Hayden. The boys keep me busy with exploring outside, riding bikes, playing board games, attending sporting events, and doing art projects. I enjoy reading, knitting, crafting, and spending time with my family and friends!

I am starting my 5th year at Collins-Maxwell as the school counselor. I like this school district and working with these students. I'm originally from Indiana but have been living in Iowa for 14 years. I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 kids, being active, summer weather, and watching sports-especially Iowa State!
