Preschool

Preschool provides a rich learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and supports them to take risks that lead to new skill development.

Calendar Dates

  • August – May (aligns with school calendar)

  • Program will be canceled for the day if school is canceled.

  • If there is an early dismissal due to dangerous weather conditions, PM preschool will be canceled for the day.

  • On days when there is a late start due to weather conditions, there will be no AM preschool.

  • Missed preschool days due to weather will be made up as scheduled by the preschool teacher. The make-up session will occur on a Wednesday or be added to the end of the school year.

Time

Tuesday - Friday
(No Preschool on Mondays)

AM Session: 8:30 – 11:30
PM Session: 12:20 - 3:20
Full Day: 8:30 - 3:20

Students may arrive no earlier than 8:20 am & 12:10 pm

Monthly Cost

  • Free tuition for students taking part in the 4-year-old preschool program. (Must turn 4 on or before September 15 of the current school year)
  • 3-year old Preschool Option: $200.00/month (due on the 1st of every month)
  • 4-year old Full Day option: $100.00/month (due on the 1st of every month)

Other Information

  • Students must be four years old by September 15
  • Enrollment will be limited to 20 students per section. There is a morning and an afternoon section.
  • Students who are 3 and turn 4 by January 1 of the following year qualify for the 3-year-old preschool program.
  • The preschool is located at Collins-Maxwell Elementary.

Transportation

  • Transportation for full-day students is provided by the district if the student qualifies for bussing.
  • Parents are to provide transportation to and from the program for half-day students.
